Sonenshine Partners Advises Atrica, Inc. on its Sale to Nokia Siemens Networks

New York - Sonenshine Partners LLC today announced that it advised Atrica, Inc. on its sale to Nokia Siemens Networks, a joint venture between Nokia Corp. of Finland and Siemens AG of Germany . The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

Atrica is the leading provider of Carrier Ethernet switches to leading telecom service providers and ISPs worldwide. The acquisition will allow Nokia Siemens Networks to offer end-to-end Carrier Ethernet solutions that reduce the cost and complexity of data-optimized transport networks. Atrica is the first acquisition by Nokia Siemens Networks and has over 40 customers worldwide including Orange Business Services, KVH and Optimum LightPath.

The market for Carrier Ethernet products is one of the fastest growing segments of the telecommunications industry. Leading analysts expect the market to grow at an annual rate of 25% through 2009.

Founded in 2000, Atrica manufactures carrier-class Ethernet switches for use in metro and regional networks providing enterprise, residential and wireless backhaul services.
