Carlo Bronzini Vender is a Senior Partner at Sonenshine Partners. He has over twenty years of mergers and acquisitions experience advising clients globally, including Marriott International, Host Hotels, Du Pont, The New York Times Company, Bulgari, Lavazza, Essilor, 1-800 CONTACTS, drugstore.com, Baxter International and Daimler Benz.
Representative transactions include the $430 million sale of drugstore.com to Walgreen, the $250 million investment by Lavazza in Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the $340 million sale of 1-800 CONTACTS to Fenway Partners, the acquisition by Essilor of Signet Armorlite, the $1.0 billion sale of Host Marriott Services to Italy's Autogrill, the $2.3 billion acquisition of ICI's global synthetic materials operations by Du Pont, the $1.6 billion acquisition by Du Pont of a 20% stake in Pioneer Hi-Bred, the restructuring of Marriott Corporation into Host Marriott Corporation and Marriott International, the $1.1 billion acquisition of The Boston Globe by The New York Times Company and the $2.0 billion spin-off of Caremark from Baxter International.
Prior to joining Sonenshine Partners in 2002, Mr. Bronzini Vender was a Managing Director at investment banking firm Wolfensohn & Company and its ultimate acquirer, Deutsche Bank.
Mr. Bronzini Vender began his career in 1987 as a consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised clients including Dun & Bradstreet, Nielsen and DHL.
Mr. Bronzini Vender is a citizen of the US and Italy. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is the Co-Chair of the board of trustees of the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY and a trustee of Baby Buggy, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing New York City families in need with essential equipment, clothing and products for their infants and young children.
