John Fang Associate

John Fang is an Associate at Sonenshine Partners. Prior to joining Sonenshine Partners, Mr. Fang was an investment banking professional in the Debt Origination & Restructuring group of Raymond James Financial, where he focused on providing restructuring solutions for distressed companies through debt exchanges, mergers and financings. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Fang worked in the commercial real estate debt group of Merrill Lynch, where he helped to structure and sell debt products. Mr. Fang’s experience spans various industries, including consumer products, e-commerce, oil & gas and financial technology and institutions.

Recent advisory assignments include the sale of e-commerce retailer FineStationery.com to 1-800-FLOWERS.com, the Management Buyout of IT services provider Iron Bow Technologies, the $3 billion restructuring of bond insurer Syncora Holdings and the $1 billion Chapter 11 restructuring of oil and gas derivatives broker Provident Royalties.

Mr. Fang holds an A.B. from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude with highest honors. He is the founder of City Readers, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing books to New York City schoolchildren in need.
